2. Gallus Boys On Top

WWE

While not quite the same caliber of match that WALTER vs. Rampage Brown was, Eddie Dennis vs. Joe Coffey was still a banger of a match.

What helped here is that neither The Hunt nor the rest of Gallus accompanied their respective pals to ringside, instead allowing Dennis and Coffey to work a genuinely memorable hoss fight. A mixture of technical prowess and pure big beefy boys knocking lumps out, this is worth going out of your way to watch.

It started off hot following a Joe Coffey Pounce, and things only got better from here, aside from one or two dreary rest holds in the middle of the match. Eddie catching a mid-run ‘Iron Man’ with a swinging uranage was a solid spot, as was Joe Coffey’s match-winning combination of a twisting cross body, the Glasgow Sendoff, and the All The Best For The Bells discus lariat. One of those was enough for the win, let alone all three; the Glasgow Sendoff, in particular, is a class manoeuvre.

A post-match brawl also involving Primate, Tyson T-Bone, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang brought with it the announcement of a six-man tag match for next Thursday. Just let them work a similar match to this, and you’re sorted. This was outstanding.
