6 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (June 1 - Results & Review)
An excellent main event, a big STP win, WorkHorsemen fun, and three minutes of women's in-ring.
Another week, another AEW Collision in the books.
Much like is often the case, this was a Collision that was low stakes, that featured minimal progression or development of any burning issues, but that also featured some great in-ring work. One could say this was a Collision plagued by the same problems that so frequently rear their head, and that would indeed be a fair statement.
As for the in-ring, Will Ospreay and Kyle O'Reilly headlined Collision in a match that was just as good as you'd hope it would be. Elsewhere, Shane Taylor Promotions received a major shot in the arm, the WorkHorsemen very much made the most of their minutes, Roderick Strong looked to bounce back from losing the International Title at Double or Nothing, and Claudio Castagnoli, Thunder Rosa, and the awfully-named Cage of Agony were also notable names in action.
Per usual, the good outshone the bad this week, but it was clearly far from a flawless Collision. In particular, one certain recurring issue just feels like Tony Khan is genuinely doing things for sh*ts and giggles now. Ridiculous doesn't even come close where that topic is concerned.
As Elton John has long told us, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
