6 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (11 Sept)
1. The Future Is Paved With Black & Gold
Not that anybody tuning into NXT on the WWE Network would particularly need it, but the company made every effort to present the black and gold brand as being full of stars gasping for the opportunity they'll be afforded when the show moves to USA Network next week.
Along with the aforementioned Street Profits promo and the package for the huge North American Title clash between Velveteen Dream and Roderick Strong, the company also profiled The Forgotten Sons and Dakota Kai whilst promising a huge Women's Championship Number One Contenders match as well as the street fight payoff to the explosive Killian Dain/Matt Riddle programme and closed the show with The Undisputed Era promising to fulfil their 2019 golden prophecy.
An overarching focus on the brand new as well as all the profiled pre-existing performers, this was NXT operating at its economical peak, for the last time it'll theoretically ever need to.
