3. Dunne And Busted?
Nigel McGuinness noted how Pete Dunne had only been pinned three times since May 20th 2017, comparing his credentials to that of peak-era Hulk Hogan. In this short television match alone, the 'Bruiserweight' attempted more than 'The Hulkster' would have even tried in Japan, but he sadly couldn't live up to the comparison to the wrestling megastar in the rest of the clash.
Dunne is f*cking brilliant - a favourite of your Birmingham-born writer - but it has been a less-than-stellar year for the former UK Champion as he work to find his place on the black-and-yellow brand.
He ended the match with opponent Angel Garza exactly as he started it - from a place of pure disgust. His incredulity over the 'Most Beautiful Man In The World' matched the brutality of his submission win. He'll hopefully get more focus than this when NXT goes live - there are fewer as prepared for the spot.
