It's weird in a way that this would have been the go-home show to NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin, which was set for Sunday, 20 June before it was canceled due to the ongoing global b*stard. Imagine if this actually was the go-home episode?

Wolfgang vs. Sam Gradwell set the wrong tone from the offset. A dull match that could have easily been a banger. Kenny Williams going over quote unquote enhancement talent Danny Jones was fine, as was the main event mixed tag match between Joseph Conners and Jinny, and SUBCULTURE's Flash Morgan Webster and Dani Luna. Slotted between them was a classic between Nathan Frazer and the returning Rohan Raja.

In short, the aura wouldn't have been there for TakeOver. You'd have to imagine both Jordan Devlin and Aoife Valkyrie would be featured in marquee matches on the card; here, Jordan was part of a tedious Supernova Sessions skit, and Aoife was nowhere to be seen.

It wasn't a bad episode per se, but when you take into account it would have been a go-home show, you can't go on without analysing this from that angle. Where some things worked for that sort of episode, others seriously didn't.

Let's get to it...
