2. What A Waste Of…Everyone
Later, Sonya Deville was bang on the money when she criticised Pearce's handling of SmackDown's women's division. One has to question the wisdom of having a heel rightly admonish a babyface GM, but it is what it is. WWE followed their verbal spat up with a handicap match that turned into a total waste of minutes.
Nothing about it worked.
Lacey Evans and Raquel Rodriguez are teaming up for literally no reason, Shayna Baszler and Xia Li are Sonya's heavies without context (why are they there?!), and the whole match was tedious. How many workers are gonna be in this spot with Deville before WWE realises it does bugger all for them?
Sonya looks less-than as a regular member of the roster who can't buy a win, Xia and Baszler have been creatively neutered, and even the announcers can't explain why Evans and Raquel are suddenly best buds. Yuck! Yuck, yuck, yuck. This was rubbish.
