John Cena sets a new target; Solo Sikoa shines; WWE's next tag title challengers revealed?

Get used to seeing visuals like the one above over the next couple of months, because one-time WWE poster boy John Cena is back and will be on SmackDown for the foreseeable. That might take the pressure off endless return graphics hyping that Roman Reigns "is returning", to be honest.

If JC works a match or two on TV along the way, then even better.

He was a credit to this week's go home push before Payback. WWE tag-teamed Cena's reappearance with Jimmy Uso's ranting and raving, but neither man hogged the spotlight - there was lots of room for names like Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, Shotzi, LA Knight, The Miz, The Street Profits and Solo Sikoa to shine brightly too.

In fact, this might be the best SmackDown's midcard has looked for a while. Sadly, such goodwill doesn't extend to the women's division. That's still a bit of a mess, and now creative is lazily shoving the same old faces into top spots just because they can't be bothered to try anything different.
