Christian Cage is damn good at this stuff too. That's hardly news to anybody who has followed his career since the early-2000s (when he really started to come into his own as a character), but the career renaissance he's had as a heel in AEW is something to behold.

Father dearest also took digs at Schiavone, but was primarily there to sum up his story heading into Full Gear's trios match. Christian promised to end Sting's career prematurely, said he'd become Darby Allin's new father figure, and vowed to break old pal Adam Copeland's neck.

The best promos make you more excited to see the match they're about, and this one did precisely that. It was a master at work. Even better, Cage didn't need 15 long-winded minutes to put his points across. He did it succinctly, then Collision was free to motor on with some matches.
