With NXT UK Prelude going down in three weeks on 8 April, WWE's United Kingdom project had to deliver a standout episode this week.

And they did.

Two huge matches were officially confirmed for the event, with another happening on this episode. Jordan Devlin and Trent Seven's Cruiserweight Championship war was exactly what you'd want from a modern cruiserweight clash. 'The Irish Ace' and 'The Don' delivered what was, for your writer's money, one of the brand's greatest ever contests in the night's main event.

As for Prelude, we have WALTER vs. Rampage Brown in an NXT UK Championship collision to look forward to, as well as Noam Dar vs. Tyler Bate to decide who'll move on to challenge the Heritage Cup Champion A-Kid for the title at a later date. Genuinely, they're busting out all the stops for WrestleMania week, even with an empty venue at BT Sports Studios.

Elsewhere on last night's episode, Nathan Frazer (fka Ben Carter) and Dani Luna had tremendous performances against Ashton Smith and Meiko Satomura, respectively, Joseph Conners demanded a match with Jack Starz, Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan were booked for a future Tag Team Championships opportunity, and Ilja Dragunov apologised for his recent actions.
