Sami Zayn teases going heel and WWE almost totally ignores those Crown Jewel titles on Raw.
Triple H should've learned from Vince McMahon's latter-day approach that booking separation between the core product and some token gestures designed to please Saudi Arabia's money men is a flawed strategy. WWE showed clear disinterest in the Crown Jewel Championships on this "go home" episode of the flagship.
Whilst they can't be blamed for that (fans don't care either), this is mediocrity of their own making.
This week's Raw kinda dipped a toe into a few other matches that'll happen on Saturday's PLE, but the two hours were more about the gripping Bloodline story than anything else. Indeed, Raw should be thankful for SmackDown's talent, because Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa coming over greatly helped give the show some much-needed oomph.
A few scattered backstage promos, Bronson Reed taking everything Seth Rollins had to offer, and a fine scrap to determine who wrestles Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Title. Yeah, that was all Monday's episode really had to shout about. The live crowd came across flat on TV, and so did some of the key matches.
