So, Paige and Brie Bella had nothing to say when they came out to flaunt their Women's Tag-Team Titles, and that's a problem. We already know that a bunch of squads (old and new) want to become champs, WWE. We don't need to hear the same things over and over and over again. Paige telling the world that she and Brie will happily defend those belts against all comers as Bella stands there largely mute is getting stale already.

Worse, Fatal Influence flubbed a line or 2, then The Irresistible Forces did their standard heel stuff. Being honest, the Women’s Tag-Team Champs Paige and Brie feel like placeholders in the worst way. There really isn’t much there to them as champions thus far, and all of this noise came across as wasted time that would've been better served going into one of the actual matches.

Maybe the Rhea Ripley and Lash Legend face to face will lead to something meaningful, but that’s about all the segment had to shout about, and it isn't enough. WWE also did pretty much the same thing with Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill for a while before forgetting about it, so who knows if Ripley and Lash will even come to fruition?!

Some writer snoozed their way through it when piecing this bit of the show together. Nothing said popped the crowd, and Jacy Jayne didn't even get the same heat she's been getting since debuting. This segment flopping isn't on her though - it's on the weak material handed to everyone.
