6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 31
2. The (United States) Champ Is Here
Back once again with his ill behaviour, John Cena had a far better time of it against Rusev than he had Bray Wyatt a year earlier, but the start of his hugely popular 2015 United States Championship run had all the problems his eventual defences wouldn't.
Still sloppy in the super-worker role (despite one of the only successful deployments of the controversial springboard stunner), Cena's victory at the 'Show Of Shows' undermined the glancing blow the 'Bulgarian Brute' had landed on him one month earlier.
It was the best and worst of times for Rusev. His entrance on a tank remains one of the most popular in recent WrestleMania history, but he was all show and no go when the bell rang. Outthought and outfought by 'The Champ', Rusev joined the long list of those that ended up worse off than before from their interaction with the organisation's golden goose.
