Match-of-the-night honours went to The Headshrinkers and The Steiner Brothers for a hard-hitting brawl than made a solid argument for both pairings advancing in the doubles division beyond the ex-headliners clogging up the title match elsewhere on the show.

Rick and Scott built on a Royal Rumble pay-per-view debut with yet more scintillating sh*tkicking, enthusiastically called by debutant Jim Ross dropping Oklahomaisms for the familiar ex-WCW faces.

The Headshrinkers were a full year away from turning babyface here, but their offence was already irresistible - an extended beatdown in the middle portion of the match never resulted in sagging before the menacing Michigan brothers put the deadly duo away.
