AEW do not deserve a WWE-sized eye roll when they book heels to "steal one", but the last thing a feud that already felt out of juice needed was this specific finish in order to presumably justify at least one more match.

More on the aftermath shortly, but the trios contest between Eddie Kingston, Proud & Powerful and Daniel Garcia & 2Point0 was only really entertaining in patches. This isn't just a complaint about going back to the well. Had this - or, for that matter, their other team outing - been a total ripper a la each outing between Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida, there'd be clamour another go around.

The last Dynamite of the year felt like the right night for a wrap-up instead of a roll-up. And speaking of that...
