6 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite (September 13 - Results & Review)
5. Rushing It On To Rampage
Since the departure of CM Punk following All In, AEW have rapidly opened the floodgates for who works Collision and Dynamite, and though this will cause new issues along the way, the ability to take stories from Wednesdays to Saturdays and back again looked evident when a video package featuring Jade Cargill's surprising return was given pride of place on the flagship. Things got a lot more confusing when the grand payoff was announced not for Grand Slam, but for this Friday's Rampage taping.
This made more sense after a major news story broke hours later, but the lack of a major stage for Kris Statlander’s TBS Championship rematch with Jade Cargill was jarring following the graphic drop.
Ultimately, it was wise to tie this loose end up should Cargill sensationally show up in WWE in the weeks and months ahead, but the disjointed feeling was a difficult one to shift on a less-than-stellar night for the women's division at large.
