DOWNS…

7. Mirroring The Men

WWE.com

Once we saw Asuka’s new WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown, it was only a matter of days before Rhea Ripley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship disappeared.

But the end result? The WWE Women’s World Championship, a near-replica of Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship, is just another example of follow-the-men with titles. The Big Gold Belt knockoff sized down and on a white strap isn’t exactly a great look, and the name is literally just one word off Asuka’s title.

Overall, this is better than a SmackDown Women’s Champion defending her title on Raw and vice-versa. But it feels like they made the decision for the men and then just had the women follow suit, and that’s not a good look… especially when you consider that both men’s titles have gotten a decent amount of scorn.

Not a huge negative, but certainly not getting positive marks here.
