4. The Most Hapless Faction EVER
Seriously, has there ever been a worse wrestling faction? X-Factor, The Corre, Zelina Vega’s stable… they all pale in comparison to the masked dopes of RETRIBUTION.
Finally gifted a decent storyline with Mustafa Ali seeking revenge on Kofi Kingston for taking his spot in Elimination Chamber two years earlier, it seemed like the story was simple: RETRIBUTION makes Xavier Woods’ life miserable for several weeks before Kofi returns, then he has to work his way through the members to get to the final boss – Ali – at WrestleMania 37.
Only, they had Woods beat Ali last week, and on Monday, the New Day teamed up and defeated Slapjack & T-Bar. Worse, Ali was left yelling at his charges about how useless and incompetent they are. So rather than the heel pushing the babyface down and looking unbeatable, Ali looks like he’s surrounded by a bunch of hapless geeks.
Wow, really makes me want to see that WrestleMania match now.
