6 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's NXT (April 7)

In the midst of all of this, it can be easy to feel like nothing is really happening in NXT. The Women's Championship aside, has any single story really moved on in the last month? Not really.

Yeah, Ciampa and Gargano hate each other, but it's been that way for a while now. Velveteen Dream wants Adam Cole's title, but all we're getting is phoned-in promo packages for an equally phoned-in storyline. The North American Championship's still orbiting the endless celestial body that is Lee/Dijakovic, the tag titles can't be defended any time soon, and they've stripped Devlin of the Cruiserweight title.

But hey, if nothing else, they have managed to handle a debut reasonably well. The 3-point plan for The Biven Boys (still calling them that, sorry) has been as by-the-numbers as any we've seen in the company. Week 1, beatdown segment - Week 2, some mic time - Week 3, squash match.

Nothing to set the world on fire, and I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to see their first real test, but the tag division is in a healthier place for having a physically dominant team of monsters in it and I absolutely buy that they are that.
