6 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (April 20)
2. Joe Vs. Crews
The main event was a highly-anticipated bout between Samoa Joe and Apollo Crews, and like the opening contest, it delivered. Joe was absolutely vicious in his first match since losing to Finn Balor in Dallas, and Crews - who professed his admiration for Joe's ability but berated him as a bully in a pre-match interview - was just as good as always.
Crews used his high-risk offense to try and take it to Joe, but "The Samoan Submission Machine" was devastating - his punches were leaden, his senton was crushing, and the Coquina Clutch he used to pick up the win was sure. The bout may have only lasted 10 minutes, but it was great.
One can't help but wonder just what Joe and Crews could have done if they were given a 20-minute slot on a TakeOver show. While that's impossible now that Crews in on the main roster, hopefully Joe joins him down the line and the two clash on Pay-Per-View.
