3. Tag Title Match All Action
It really wasn’t a hard choice when deciding on the right bout to open TakeOver. Mustache Mountain has been on a ridiculous roll when it comes to delivering in big match spots, and Saturday was no different against Zack Gibson & James Drake.
The four men started off slowly, with Gibson and Drake looking outmatched and outclassed. But things heated up nicely, with a crazy series of near-falls, submissions and double-teams that left fans jumping up and down throughout. Mustache Mountain even pulled off a British Bulldogs homage, with a running powerslam/diving headbutt combo.
While the smart money would have been on Mustache Mountain winning the inaugural tag titles, Gibson & Drake really stepped up in the second half of the match and delivered a hell of a performance.
