Who walked out of WWE NXT: Vengeance Day holding the brand's top straps?
A whole host of names formerly associated with this developmental darling may not be feeling the love as of late, but that still didn't stop NXT 2.0 from doubling down on all things romantic and heart-shaped as Vengeance Day once again rolled into town to tug at your heart-strings... or leave you booing at your TV set in the wake of more baffling booking.
In what has increasingly become the calling card of this revamped show as of late, an event boasting some pretty top class in-ring action across the board was once again bogged down by backstage and off-campus segments that will likely leave a target younger demographic shuddering in their seats.
Who knows? Maybe the sight of Mandy Rose texting her pals about Tony's D on a sun lounger, Dakota Kai having a chat with Little Janey, and two laddy lads supping beer and talking about women will be enough to finally force some much-needed interest in the flailing brand. But you'd likely be better off putting your eggs in a Dolph Ziggler title run basket, in all honesty... a Vinnie Mac can dream.
