2. An Awkward End

There’s always a chance that WWE planned a short match ended in such an odd fashion, but damn did it feel weird.

A six-man tag match between Samoa Joe and the Bar versus Jason Jordan, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose seemed like it would be a pretty drawn-out, multi-segment match that would be a mid-show focal point.

Instead, the contest ended abruptly after Ambrose seemingly injured his elbow and Rollins got distracted by his hurt friend. It was over suddenly, with Sheamus nailing Seth with a Brogue Kick out of nowhere. The announcers played up Ambrose’s injured elbow as if it was the real deal, and considering how things went down, it certainly felt plausible.

But shortly after, Dean and Seth were attacked by Cesaro, Sheamus and Samoa Joe backstage, further “injuring” Ambrose. That made it feel scripted a little more. Regardless, it just felt like a sudden, strange conclusion to the match.
