6 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (May 7)

WWE puts blinders on, moves forward toward Money in the Bank.

After a disaster of a PPV, WWE rolled onto Long Island, NY for Monday Night Raw to try to get the company back on track and removed from the disjointed mess we got at Backlash.

Already, WWE is looking forward to Money in the Bank, announcing that there will be a series of qualifying matches for the 16 slots in the two ladder matches, one each for the men and women. There wasn’t a lot of looking back fondly at Backlash, but driving straight ahead to the next stop for WWE.

Raw gave us a solid Intercontinental Championship match between Seth Rollins and Mojo Rawley and some good action from the three women in the triple threat Money in the Bank ladder match. We also saw Braun Strowman get back to singles competition and return to focusing on winning the Universal Championship, which is always a good thing.

Raw also gave us some dull moments and questionable booking decisions, including the Einstein who let Roman Reigns kvetch about how unfairly he’s been treated recently. Whoever green-lit that should be canned.
