3. A Rollup That Works

Rollup pins of champions is sometimes the laziest thing WWE can do to build a new challenger, but in the case of Bobby Roode & Chad Gable, it might have been the only thing they could have done.

Ordinarily, you would want to build up a contender for the Raw Tag Team Championships by having them defeat other tag teams, but really, how much would wins over the Ascension, B-Team and Heath Slater & Rhyno mean?

You couldn’t have them defeat the previous tag champs, as Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose are now feuding, and no way the tag champs before them, Drew McIntyre & Dolph Zigger, would lose at this stage. So going over the current champs actually made sense.

And Gable’s top rope sunset flip pin on Akam was pretty effective, rather than a simple distraction rollup. Gable & Roode are both accomplished wrestlers, and while they most likely are just cannon fodder for AOP, they should have a pretty good match or two.
