3. Lynch, Sane Underperform

Maybe they weren’t ready to eat up two segments. But Becky Lynch and Kairi Sane looked lost out there for their opening match on Raw.

The bout was sloppy at times, with both women completely whiffing on kicks (though some of the fault has to fall on the camerawork) and things not gelling until the last couple minutes. Despite being the heel, Sane barely seemed to control for a match that ran on for so long. It felt like Becky was wrestling herself at certain points in the early-going.

Whatever the case might be, this wasn’t a terrible match, but if you told someone Raw was opening with the Raw Women’s Champion and one of its most popular superstars facing the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic, this is not the match they would have envisioned.
