Kudos to Nia Jax and Asuka, who delivered a pretty entertaining match that made Nia look like a killer, even in defeat.

Jax was dominant throughout the match, countering several submission attempts with brute strength and throwing the Empress of Tomorrow around at will. To her credit, Asuka kept fighting from underneath with kicks, backfists and running knees. Eventually, she chopped Nia down to size.

The finish, a powerbomb turned into a rollup, was a perfect ending, with Asuka capitalizing on one mistake and getting a surprise victory to escape with her undefeated streak intact.

The beatdown afterward just furthered the image of Nia as a dominant force in the women’s division.
