6 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 26)
5. Everybody Loses
Speaking of the tag division, WWE can't seem to do anything right with the Tag Team Championships at the moment. Clash of Champions brought a fun sprint between The New Day and Gallows & Anderson, and the interference finish at least gave The Club the slightest caveat on which they could pin the loss.
There were grounds for a rematch, and it took place last night. While the action was enjoyable enough, Gallows & Anderson took yet another loss to the long-reigning champions, but it was as clean as a whistle this time. They've now lost countless opportunities at the gold, and WWE's hopes of ever presenting them as a credible force are dead in the water. They're as threatening as The Golden Truth at the moment, and for a tag team once dominated NJPW's heavyweight tag scene, that's incredibly depressing.
The New Day, meanwhile, gain absolutely nothing from beating them again. Their dominance over Gallows & Anderson is already well-established, and they've often had their way with the former Bullet Club stalwarts on television as well as PPV. Last night's match is just another forgettable victory in a reign full of them.
Raw's tag division isn't in a good place at the moment. With The New Day's act close to jumping the shark, Gallows & Anderson finished, and Enzo Amore & Big Cass focused elsewhere, it's in dire need of a refresh.
