6 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2015

1. That Was It?

At NXT Takeover: Unstoppable, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch had the match of the night, a show-stealing 15-minute affair that was one of the best women€™s wrestling matches you€™ll see. Sunday at Elimination Chamber, Nikki Bella retained her Divas Championship in a triple threat match that lasted all of six minutes with a finish that came out of nowhere. *Shakes head* It€™s hard to not be negative about the WWE Divas division when NXT churns out better women€™s wrestling on a constant basis. It€™s also tough to be positive about what WWE does put on television when they throw three women out there and have them fire off a series of moves, pins, break-ups and then a finish. There was no flow, no rhythm, no opportunity to get into the match.Sure, there was an impressive-looking top rope German suplex/powerbomb combo, and some of the pinfall break-ups were nicely done, but two or three spots does not make for an entertaining match. It€™s worth repeating what was written in the Unstoppable Ups and Downs column recently: €œCan we just promote the entire NXT women€™s division and punt two-thirds of WWE€™s Divas€™ roster? Everyone is already thinking it.€
