Fans have long assumed that John Cena would have a marquee match at WrestleMania XXXIII, possibly against the Undertaker. But recently, rumors have flowed that Cena would tag with real-life girlfriend Nikki Bella against the Miz and his wife Maryse. As crazy as it sounded, it looks like we got the first hint at it Sunday night.
During a backstage brawl between Nikki and Natalya, Nikki got knocked into Maryse, sending powder flying everyone and knocking Maryse over. Later, she did not accompany Miz to the ring, and JBL reminded everyone why she likely didn’t come out.
Kane and Chris Jericho once had a feud over spilled coffee. Edge and Booker T had a WrestleMania battle over a shampoo commercial. Somehow, this feud – if it comes to pass – would lower that bar.
