5. The Undertaker On Wobbly Legs
When will WWE let Mark Calaway rest in peace?
The Undertaker seemingly retired last year at WrestleMania, but he’s now returned three times this year alone: Raw 25, WrestleMania 34 and Greatest Royal Rumble. His “match” at ‘Mania was basically a squash of John Cena where he didn’t have to do much.
But at GRR, ‘Taker battled Rusev in a surprisingly competitive match in which the Bulgarian Brute got far more offensive than you would have thought. And while the match was decent, it definitely appeared like Undertaker was on wobbly legs. At one point early on, he was slugging Rusev in the corner and stumbled backward, holding himself up with the ropes.
This might be an overreaction of sorts, but it definitely seems like ‘Taker is on his last legs in the ring as anything more than a special attraction. The risk here is that at some point, he’s going to fall down, and that’s when the mystique of The Undertaker could also take a fall.
WWE should let ‘Taker bow out gracefully, rather than continuing to ride him.
