6 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 9)
Fake Sting is back!
You know youre on the Road to WrestleMania when storylines start following a more logical progression, the pacing gets crisper and the silly antics dissipate. Sure, Raw still features some bad angles, head-shaking segments and goofy hijinks, but when was the last time we saw the Bunny, or El Torito versus Hornswoggle? Even Adam Rose and his Rosebuds have taken a backseat in his partnership with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. Monday Night Raw got things moving in the right direction, with much of the program hitting the right notes and moving things toward WrestleMania, seven weeks away. WWEs biggest storyline, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, dominated the show, but in a really good way. It sucked fans in, and if you were paying attention, you got a really big hint at whats in store. There were some angles that carried over from last week that could bear mentioning in the column, but repeating multiple items from last week would get old fast. Bray Wyatt is doing a bang-up job in building to a match against Undertaker. Stardust and Goldust are ready to finally have a brotherly showdown. And Dean Ambrose is trying to will the Intercontinental Championship back into relevance. WWE might have gotten a lot more right this week than they have recently, but Raw was not without its pitfalls. Lets check out what rocked and what flopped.
