Is this what the Divas division has been reduced to? A feud based in part on skin tone? Whatever happened to feuding over a title because one person wants it? Its true that Paige has been mixing it up with the Bella Twins for a few weeks now, but the past two weeks have harkened back to the Piggy James angle from several years ago, where a womans physical appearance become a central part of a feud. Paige is pale-skinned, get over it. Shes also one of the best female wrestlers on the roster and wants to be Divas Champion again.But because nearly the entire Divas division stars on Total Divas, we have to have ridiculous angles like Nikki and Brie covering Paige in spray tan last week, which the announcers then talked about again on Monday. Why cant a Divas angle simply be about wanting to be champion? It feels like whenever the Bellas are involved, the soap opera factor gets turned up to 11. And thats not a good thing.
