6 WWE Hell In A Cell Opening Matches - From Worst To Best

3. Dolph Ziggler Vs. Cesaro (2014)

Oh how nice it is to write one of these columns and not have to watch multiple Dolph Ziggler matches. Last year he was defending his Intercontinental Championship, although he was doing so against Cesaro so the match was always going to be a blinder. Cesaro's superman-like abilities are a perfect foil for Ziggler to flop around, and the results are clear to see. The match was also a Best Two out of Three falls bout, and finished with a refreshing clean sweep for Ziggler. Often such matches can follow a fairly tired formula, so the champion getting a clean sweep was a pleasant surprise. It seemed as though it would set up something big for Ziggler, and the following Survivor Series seemed to ram that fact home. Alas, alas. A great opening to the show 12 months ago.
