7 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
7. Seth Rollins’ Absence
You would think that, with Elimination Chamber being the first stop on the 'Road to WrestleMania', the WWE would have ensured promotion for one of the upcoming event's marquee matches. However, there was barely a reference made to the impending Universal Championship clash between Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar.
In all honesty, nobody expected Lesnar to show up on a B-show that is still quite far away from WrestleMania, but the same can't be said for Rollins. Granted, 'The Architect' hasn't competed over the past few weeks in an attempt to ensure that his nagging back injury doesn't harm his major match with 'The Beast', but the creative team could have found something for him to do on the night.
Whether he engaged in another war of words with Paul Heyman, or simply just showed up on screen via satellite, an appearance from Rollins would have been a welcome addition and, given the circumstances surrounding the WrestleMania match, an appropriate way of at least reminding us that the men's main event still exists.
Being Raw's top male babyface, not to mention the winner of the men's Royal Rumble match, Rollins needed a place on the card and, as a result, his absence ultimately harmed Elimination Chamber.
