7 Clues Dolph Ziggler Is Winning WWE Royal Rumble 2018
7. AJ Styles Vs. Shinsuke Nakamura Won’t Happen At ‘Mania
Since Money in the Bank 2017, it's been more of a matter of 'when' AJ Styles will face Shinsuke Nakamura, as opposed to 'if'. It's a match that wrestling fans worldwide are chomping at the bit to see, and people have been speculating all year round that the dream match will take place at WrestleMania 34 - especially since, in atypical form, WWE hasn't yet spunked it away on free TV.
Alas, when it comes to the 'Mania card, we fans rarely get what we ask for at The Show of Shows.
The title scene at 'Mania for the last several years has been made up of pairings that nobody wanted - most notably the inclusion of Roman Reigns at WrestleManias 31 and 32. And 33, probably. The bout last year between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt was also received poorly; Orton didn't need the spotlight or the Championship.
However, that's not to say we don't get our dream matches. WWE has given us a Triple Threat between the three members of The Shield, we've seen Samoa Joe take Brock Lesnar to the limit, and John Cena's feud with AJ Styles was one of Cena's best in recent memory - but most of those bouts took place at B shows.
People watch ‘Mania regardless of the card, so big matches take place elsewhere to increase Network subscriptions. AJ still needs a good opponent to challenge for his crown (if he's still Champ in April), and a heel Ziggler would match up very well against the Phenomenal One.
