This one may be a bit more forgivable. When Hugh Laurie, a British actor, was playing Dr. House, an American character, he would speak in an American accent even during takes, because it was so hard for him to go in and out of his stage voice.

Reportedly, backstage at WWE shows, stagehands and other support personnel are directed to refer to the wrestlers by their gimmicked names. So rather than calling The Undertaker €œMark€ or €œMr. Callaway,€ you have to refer to him as €œUndertaker€ or even €œMr. Taker.€

If you want to make the argument that this is a type of method acting or getting into character backstage, that discussion can be had. It€™'s just incredibly goofy that any coworker would have to address Mike Mizanin as €œMiz€ in a professional business setting backstage if they didn'€™t know him personally.
