6. The Intercontinental Title Will Actually Be On The Line
Those who skipped the Kickoff portion of SummerSlam missed The Miz entirely, and they weren't alone. Due to fans being misinformed about the start-time or simply deciding they didn't want to sit through a 6-hour show, The Miz & The Miztourage vs. Jason Jordan & The Hardy Boyz played before a sparse crowd.
That's not good enough for a guy who was one of SmackDown's leading lights post-Draft before nonsensically being drafted to Raw. Miz has been one of WWE's best heels for a while now, and yet he was forced to team with jobber-level goofs against a nostalgia act tag-team and a guy who is finding it tough since becoming Kurt Angle's storyline son.
By contrast, The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Title at No Mercy. Whether that's against Jordan or Jeff Hardy (who gets a title shot on Raw next week) remains to be seen, but at least he'll be on the actual pay-per-view this month.
What's the deal, WWE? Why would you treat a performer the caliber of Miz like you did at SummerSlam?
