7 Future Main Event Wrestlers In WWE
7. Adam Cole
In the last decade, Ring of Honor has risen to become the number one indie promotion in the United States. Since the demise of WCW, and the relative failure of TNA, the homeland dominance of the WWE has been challenged by the exciting wrestlers appearing in RoH. And this meant of course, that Vince would poach them all for himself. Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins have all made the switch, becoming main event superstars in the process. And now, Adam Cole will surely follow suit.
His explosive debut at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III - where he and fellow RoH alumni, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, decimated new champion Drew McIntyre - was clear evidence that the WWE has big plans for Cole. A title reign in NXT seems almost a certainty, and a call-up to Raw and SmackDown would then just become a formality.
From that point, anything is possible for Adam Cole. If they use him alongside O'Reilly and Fish to form a new heel stable that runs roughshod over the WWE, be prepared for him to sit on top of the ladder for many years to come, bay-bay!
