7 Most Likely Daniel Bryan Replacements To Be Next WWE Champion

By John Canton /

5. Cesaro

If WWE wants to capitalize on Bryan's absence by making somebody a WWE World Champion for the first time in his career then Cesaro is the best choice. Whether they decided to do a tournament or have some kind of match with multiple people in it, Cesaro's got enough credibility at this point that he can be a believable WWE Champion. When you add in the fact that he's got the great Paul Heyman at his side as his manager it certainly makes a lot of sense. Cesaro has the right look to be a WWE Champion and he's also one of the best in-ring performers in the company. He doesn't have bad matches. A champion needs to be able to have those believable main event type matches. He's a guy that can do that. It's hard to know if WWE sees Cesaro as a WWE Champion right now. It seems like they would rather book him with Heyman for now as a heel and when the time is right he'll go babyface, but that plan may not involve the biggest prize in the business. If it did, though, he would prove himself worthy of the honor.
