7 Main Eventers Who Flourished In The Midcard
7. Daniel Bryan
Following his first world championship win in December 2011, Daniel Bryan’s tag title run with Kane as a part of Team Hell No! was by and one of the most memorable chapters of his career in WWE. The skits outside of the ring and the in-ring dysfunctional chemistry with Kane made for compelling viewing. It gave Bryan a chance to shine while CM Punk dominated the WWE title scene and showed management he was more than capable of getting over with the fans.
After his final run as World Champion in 2014, Bryan captured the Intercontinental championship at Wrestlemania 31 but was forced to vacate the title due to injury, having defended it once against Dolph Ziggler. Reports at the time indicated that Bryan’s title win was an attempt to improve the prestige of the belt and one has to believe that if he hadn’t vacated the championship, we fans would have lapped up every title defence.
