7 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With The Shield’s Reunion

'Believe In The Shield'? Not bloody likely if this booking keeps up...

The mini-Shield reunion between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose blatantly came about because WWE's creative team had no other ideas for either over the summer. A lack of creative inspiration is hardly good enough reason to start pulling the trigger on a comeback for one of the best-loved groups in recent memory, but it's happening.

There are positives to this Rollins/Ambrose love-in despite the glaring flaws. It is true that neither had a solid storyline to sink their teeth into individually, and they have helped Raw's Tag Title division motor along with brilliant matches against Sheamus and Cesaro. Couldn't that have happened without any Shield overtures though?

WWE have now booked themselves into a corner and created a situation wherein one of the least-liked stars on the roster is the missing piece of the puzzle. That cool factor which dripped off The Shield back between 2012-14 has been diminished already, and the full reunion hasn't even happened yet...
