7 New Directions For WWE After Great Balls Of Fire
It was about damn time WWE added a harder edge to Roman Reigns...
Did anyone else notice that huge banner sporting the face of Roman Reigns and the message, '#GetOffMyTV' in the crowd at Great Balls Of Fire? Those sentiments exist because people are sick of WWE trying to force Reigns down our throats as some kind of holier-than-thou hero.
His actions on Sunday change that, and they could take Roman in a completely new direction his character badly needs. Best of all, he's not the only one on the Raw roster to have some buzz coming out of Great Balls Of Fire. Way to go, WWE creative team, you're actually weaving intricate plots that have us intrigued.
With SummerSlam on the horizon as Raw's next supershow stop, what's next for the red brand following Sunday night? Specifically, just who is going to be named as Brock Lesnar's next challenger for that Universal Title?
7. Bray Wyatt Actually Has Momentum
WWE need to go back and redo Great Balls Of Fire, because they seem to have made the mistake of writing Bray Wyatt to beat Seth Rollins. We're being facetious, of course, but it's hardly common for Wyatt to back up his claims of being a "God" by winning on pay-per-view, least of all against a man just unveiled as WWE 2K18's cover star.
Could this be some momentum for Bray on Raw? It'd be about bloody time, because Wyatt has done little of note other than come across as a babbling buffon since being drafted from SmackDown. Coming out of Sunday though, he finally has something to shout about that will hopefully lead to more success.
Should WWE transition Bray from an anaemic feud with Seth into one with promise opposite Finn Balor, then he may yet be rescued. If they don't, then at least Wyatt was given a win on pay-per-view. He has some direction now, WWE, so don't waste it.
