4. Meeting Paul Heyman

Can you remember the first time you met Paul Heyman?

“Sure. I first met Paul Heyman in a parking lot on Central Avenue in Yonkers, New York. He pulled up in his car and walked up to me and said, ‘You look like a cop.’

“I said, ‘I’m not.’ And he said: ‘Are you sure? You look like a cop.’

“I said, ‘I’m not — and are we doing anything illegal?’ And he said, ‘No. Hi, I’m Paul Heyman. Let’s get some lunch.’

“This was when I was trying to get hooked up with the original ECW [in 1993].”
