7 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Give Up On The Current WWE Product Completely
Consider these things the saving graces of WWE's current programming.
It's easy to bash the current WWE product because of how poor it's been for many, many months.
The company isn't giving viewers much of an incentive to tune into the weekly shows when they tend to feature the same stuff week after week. While it may sound like fans are exaggerating when they claim it's worse than it has been in a long time, they really aren't. Raw and SmackDown Live are truly in the doldrums at the moment.
Enough with the negative, however. Not everything about WWE nowadays is dreadful. The first thought most fans have is to stop watching WWE all together because it simply isn't entertaining for them anymore. That's a logical move, but believe it or not, there are certain Superstars, storylines and segments worth sticking around for.
Despite how ridiculously dumb WWE's creative direction can be more often than not, there tends to be at least a few things that make the shows bearable to watch. It's possible the talent themselves are largely responsible for their recent successes, or perhaps they're just immune to WWE's nonsensical booking decisions by this point.
Either way, these seven stories have been a beacon of light during an otherwise dark time for WWE and are why you shouldn't give up on the product just yet.
7. Bayley Seeks Redemption As SmackDown Women's Champion
At this time two years ago, many fans wrote off Bayley following her failed feud with Alexa Bliss over the Raw Women's Championship. She was made to look like a loser at every turn and lost any shred of credibility or momentum she had from her NXT days.
Two years later, she has since rekindled her rivalry with Bliss, but the circumstances are much different this time around. Not only are they now doing battle over the SmackDown Women's Championship over on the blue brand, it seems WWE realized where they went wrong with her and are attempting to build her back up to where she once was and beyond.
It isn't too late, either. There was a point earlier this year when crowds were booing Bayley (which would have been considered a cardinal sin during her NXT run), but having her switch shows and develop a more aggressive edge has helped her tremendously. She went on to win the Money in the Bank briefcase as well as the SmackDown Women's title that same night and all of a sudden she feels like a new woman.
Becky Lynch is doing her thing on Raw and that's great, but it's nice to see a fresh face given the opportunity to shine on SmackDown. Here's hoping she reigns as champ for many months to come.
