7 Steps To Make Seth Rollins The Face Of WWE

Monday Night Rollins is the great white hope of WWE.

Well, Backlash was a load of toss, huh? Featuring bad matches and terrible storyline development, this show was emblematic of how WWE is severely mishandling its talent at the moment. Perhaps most egregious of all was the main event, wherein Roman Reigns, in front of a defeated and departing crowd, got a win he didn't need over Samoa Joe in a boring match that made both of them look worse.

This writer has long been in the Roman Reigns apologia camp, but this has gotten ridiculous. Even though Roman is incredibly talented, he is simply not the guy, and he never will be, at least as the top babyface. But it's like WWE is still stuck in 2015 and thinks he can be salvaged.

Meanwhile, the fans are also stuck in 2015, but in a good way. Seth Rollins has found his mojo back, and is once again the best wrestler in the company. After his barn-burner with The Miz on Sunday, it's clearer more than ever he needs to become the face of the company. But how do WWE achieve this? Well, if they're smart enough, here's what they'll do...

7. Roman Reigns Wins Money In The Bank

So to make Seth the face of WWE, he would have to win the Universal title, preferably at WrestleMania, which is where all the great coronations happen. The best way to get here would be to build his opponent early, and who has more build behind them than the Big Dog?

At Money in the Bank, Roman Reigns should win the men's briefcase. This may seem crazy since Roman is more pushed than anyone, but it's actually been close to two years since he's held championship gold. Through changed plans and cold feet, Roman's continued to be a main-eventer, but without the title belt, it's become one of the most *ss-backwards pushes ever.

It's time for WWE to put their foot down and give us a guarantee that a Roman Reigns title win is coming, and what better way to do that than with the Money in the Bank briefcase? (We'll just ignore the fact that last year, Baron Corbin lost his cash-in to Jinder Mahal, because... shut up).

The question then becomes: who does Roman cash in on?
