7 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II

It should be a GLORIOUS night for Bobby Roode at the Barclays Center.

Even without Mojo Rawley, it is easy to get and stay hyped for NXT TakeOver specials. The developmental brand has got a roster that rivals any in wrestling today, and the WWE Network events they produce have arguably been the most consistent shows in wrestling over the last year or so. With stacked cards that produce the goods, it is easy to see why.

NXT returns to Brooklyn over SummerSlam weekend for the second straight year, and oh boy does it look like a great event is on the cards once more. The show is headlined by a true dream match as NXT Champion Samoa Joe goes up against the still-undefeated Shinsuke Nakamura, a bout that many have dreamt of for years. No one ever thought we'd see it on a WWE-produced show, but here we go.

Elsewhere the GLORIOUS Bobby Roode will make his in-ring debut against Andrade Almas, himself not far removed from arriving in NXT. Austin Aries continues his descent into misery against the eternally-upbeat No Way Jose, although the Greatest Man That Ever Lived has managed to push Jose to anger already.

The Revival defend their NXT Tag Championships against Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa in a bout, and Asuka/Bayley II promises to be something special. Ember Moon will also make her debut on the show.

What needs to happen this Saturday? Here are seven things that must happen for NXT to continue moving forward.

7. A Quick Win For Ember Moon

Ember Moon, who is almost guaranteed to be more than a token WWE silhouette, makes her NXT debut this Saturday. Moon's opponent has also been announced, and it is Billie Kay who represents the first obstacle on the new superstar's NXT journey.

This simply has to be a dominant win for Ember Moon. Any other result is insanity, as she surely must represent the near-future of this entire division. With Asuka proving hugely dominant as champion and the main roster split lessening the chance of RAW and SmackDown women coming back to challenge, Ember Moon needs to be built up as a major challenger for the champion.

This is unfortunate for Billie Kay, who recently picked up her first victory in NXT. Her time may come yet, but it can't come at the expense of a talent that doesn't need a huge amount of seasoning before being put in high-pressure situations.
