It would seem that John Cena is taking some time off after this special event, and is leaving with one last United States Championship Open Challenge. Surely he is going to lose, right? Well, please remember that this is John Cena, and LOL Cena Wins is actually a thing. The worst possible thing that can happen here is Cena winning and merely vacating the belt. The second worst is him winning and then just disappearing with the title for a couple of months. The Open Challenge has been a wonderful thing throughout the summer, with Cena's performances anchoring the whole thing. He's had a truly stellar year, but surely logic dictates that a star is made on Sunday night? At the very least, he should be defeated and brutalised by whichever young heel he is going to emasculate at WrestleMania XXXII. Whether Rusev returns to what made him one of the top heels in the company, or Braun Strowman jumps the Wyatt title queue, it doesn't matter. Cena must drop the title if he is going away for a few months.
