7 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Sting

By John Canton /

The rumours of legendary wrestler Sting going to WWE have been prevalent since the start of 2014. While a WrestleMania return seems unlikely at this point, the soon to be 55 year old could show up in WWE soon after. Nobody really knows at this point except perhaps Vince McMahon, Triple H and him. For all we know, he could be a part of WrestleMania as a surprise debut or they could save it for the next night on Raw. It just seems like a WWE debut is very likely for the Stinger this year. With that in mind, there are a lot of things about Sting that the current WWE audience doesn't know. It's not like his name has been mentioned a lot on WWE TV. If you have the WWE Network, you could turn on most WCW PPVs and he's probably featured in them more than anybody else. You can watch how he evolved as a character over the years right before your very eyes. If he does come into WWE, he likely won't be an active wrestler. A role like a GM of Raw or Smackdown seems more likely. They could also use him like they use other legends such as Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels among others. Having Sting in the fold would be a great asset to WWE. In case you don't know too much about Sting, here's a guide to some things you need to know about the man that was arguably the face of World Championship Wrestling and a guy that a lot of fans looked up as their favorite wrestler.
