WWE Vault really is, as of writing in 2026 at least, a near-perfect service that doles out archived classics, hidden gems and never-before-seen clips onto YouTube, for free, without announcing ahead of time what's coming. There are those that love/loved the WWE Network and mourn it every day, but the Vault will heal your woes. The Vault is better.

Not only is the Vault free, but based on some of the old streaming service's numbers as opposed to the YouTube figures, people prefer being presented with something they didn't know they wanted rather than being given choice paralysis. To that end, consider this a formal request for the Vault to upload any unaired satellite footage/audio of the broadcast that occasionally makes its way online, because its all absolute gold. From Jim Ross shooting on having to listen to Creed for the fiftieth time that week during the "Desire" years, to Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan frustratedly recording wild lines to replace flubs on SmackDown, to the relentless ribbing of Tony Chimel for pisspronunciating his worms, there's an excitement that veers anywhere from charming to lurid when listening/watching along with the stuff that was never supposed to be seen.

Such was the case on the May 23rd 2014 edition of SmackDown, when Michael Cole's half of a rather testy exchange McMahon escaped

"Do you want me to say that every time, because I've said it a sh*tload of times tonight..." but he's cut off by a reply from the former Chairman that must have a fair bit of sauce on it, based at least on how Cole reacts. After what sounds like other headsets being removed, Cole sheepishly replies; "OK...yes sir...yes sir...OK, I've got it sir..."

Though it was presumably a terrible day at work for the 'Voice Of WWE', it's provided him a bit of vindication retrospectively. Though many already knew many of the Cole-isms were out of the mouth of McMahon, this out-and-out proved it.
