7 Triple H Matches We Need To See In 2016
The Game isn't over until he's faced these guys...
Does Triple H have his working boots on these days or what? Whether it's because the current roster is thin on star power due to injuries and other factors, or because The Game just feels like stepping back into the ring he pretty much owns these days, the 46-year-old has already wrestled as many matches in 2016 as he has in the last three years combined.
And you know what? He's looked pretty damn good in there, it has to be said. A total ring general and in absolutely ridiculous shape for a man of his age (and schedule), The King of Kings looks like he hasn't lost a step and, while the WrestleMania 32 main event with Roman Reigns might have been a little long for most fans' tastes, he's delivered the goods time in and time out, whether it be in the Royal Rumble match or in his Roadblock encounter with The Lunatic Fringe.
Just last week, during WWE's live tour of the United Kingdom and Europe, he was working on top of the card alongside Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn, three men who are considered the future of the company. Seeing those matches has whet the appetite for more bouts between Trips and some of the E's best and brightest.
During a press conference to promote their live event in Pairs, Triple H said that he would love to get in there and mix it up with the likes of Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles...if he was still in his prime.
Hogwash. Triple H still has so much to offer and would be able to hang with his younger, sprightlier foes. If he is open to working more matches in 2016- and it looks like it's going that way - then these seven would be a good place to start...
